 Toddlers Eating Veg

Recent studies are saying that giving children lots of different veg before they are twelve months old and even up to two years means they will be more likely to eat these foods in the future.

It might take a few goes but parents should keep giving the food as the child will soon get used to it. They will also be happier to try new foods when they are older which will be good for them.

It is better to give very small children fresh food instead of packaged or tined food so they get used to trying natural tastes and the feel of eating different food like a crunchy carrot or squishy mash potato.

When I was very little my parents fed me healthy homemade food and now I try anything when I can. I am becoming a vegetarian for one week and will try even more different vegetables and recipes.

It is also important to small children to eat at dinnertime with the rest of the family so they can see grown ups and older children eat healthy food. This way they will learn to do the same as they will want to copy what they see.
